A Brand X Method™ Preteen Workout from Jeff and Mikki Martin
Warm-Up:
2x
200-meter medicine ball overhead pass centipede run
10 burpees
10-meter crab walk
Skill:
Hang squat clean – focus on strong receiving position
Workout:
AMRAP in a given time
5 front squats, 5#-15# dumbbells
5 box step-ups, 5#-15# dumbbells
Game:
Frogger – All kids but one line up on either side of a play area that is about 24’ wide x 30’ long (max). The one kid starts at an end line and must broad jump the length while the kids along the sides try to strike him or her with a soft dodgeball. Each sideline kid gets one attempt per round. The jumper can only move forward, and if struck, he or she switches places with the thrower. Jumpers that make it through the gauntlet without being hit get to go again, but the sideline kids all move in a couple steps.
