A Brand X Method™ Preschool Workout
FOCUS:
Press – pushing the ceiling up (bar path)
Trainer Notes: Move slowly to accentuate the idea of weight; encourage the kids to make “it’s heavy faces.”
WARM-UP:
Making Ant Food – Using any simple carbohydrate processed food such as Goldfish, scatter food outside in a 20-meter x 20-meter area and ask the kids to make ant food. Discuss people food and how it looks (eg, vegetables, protein).
CONDITIONING:
3-5 rounds
3 presses, unloaded
5 tuck jumps
3 blocked squats
5 jumping jacks
GAME:
Placing 3 cones 2 meters apart, have children do 2 hops, crawl through 5 feet of “tunnel,” then bear crawl from second to final cone. Create tunnels with benches, parallettes, crash mats and similar objects.
