A Brand X Method™ Kids Workout

WARM-UP:
Switch while carrying a small medicine ball – Divide players into two groups and line kids up on opposite sides of a large play area. Create coned section as home base for each side. Kids will race to other side using the exercise called out by the trainer. First team to get all players into its home base gets a point. Play can continue until a certain number of points are attained or for a given time. Note: Use exercises that allow safe movement with the ball, eg, skipping, marching, side shuffling, hopping, lunging.

FOCUS:
Special forces pull-up – practice in sets of 2, followed by 2 grasshoppers

GET READY:
1:00 – wounded eagle
1:00 each side – wrist stretches
1:00 – downward dog

CONDITIONING:
8 rounds
30-second hillbilly prowler push
30-second plate carry at chest (use small or add plates so as not to hit little chins)

GAME:
1:00 – Tag while holding right foot with left hand
1:00 – Standard Tag
1:00 – Tag while holding left foot with right hand
Repeat
