A Brand X Method™ Kids Workout
Farmers & Lumberjacks – Scatter 9 or more tall cones around a large playing area of about 30’ x 30’, half upright and half knocked over. Divide the group into Farmers and Lumberjacks: Farmers are asked to keep the cones growing (standing) and Lumberjacks are asked to cut (knock) them down. All players must be moving at all times and cannot block or protect cones or touch other players. If at any point all cones are either up or down, the trainer calls freeze and the kids do 3 reps of a selected bodyweight exercise. Teams swap roles every few minutes.
Sack races with push-ups, burpees and mountain climbers keeping feet in the sack!
Musical Medicine Balls – Similar to musical chairs. Medicine balls are arranged in a circle. As the music plays, kids do an exercise or animal walks around bags. When the music stops, each child must find a ball to squat on. A ball is removed from the circle every round. If a child doesn’t get to a ball, he or she is out. Hold a “squat off” if there is a tie to the last ball. The two children do as many squats possible in 10 seconds. The kid with the most squats wins.
