A Brand X Method™ Kids Workout
WARM-UP:
Get around the gym without touching the floor – trainer stages boxes, mats, ropes, and other traversable objects to make this work
FOCUS:
Jumping and landing mechanics – “baseball outfielder” position (hands on knees, lift hands). Apply to box jump and broad jump. Demo, discuss, and have kids do 3 broad jumps, 3 box jumps.
GET READY:
Bottom of Squat Dance Party – Each kid rotates as dancer in front of class for 30 seconds to a minute, and from the bottom of the squat creates his or her own routine that other kids are instructed to mirror.
CONDITIONING:
2 rounds
1:00 – broad jumps
1:00 – box jumps
1:00 – toes-to-bar on floor
1:00 – kick taps with dodgeball (to yourself)
GAME:
Sack races
