Foundational Movements: hinging, lifting (deadlift)
Physical Literacy: kicking

Accessory Movements: pull-up, ring row, hollow hold on the bar

A Brand X Method™ Kids Workout
WARM-UP:
Using one or more large plyo or physio balls, allow kids to experiment by throwing and bouncing to a target (eg, chalk circle, hula hoop) and bouncing over a cone and/or into a tire. Repeat with kicking to target.
FOCUS:
Ring row – teach start position, pull, and reset with body planked or planked with knees bent. Have each child practice 3-5 ring rows.
GET READY:
1:00 child’s pose
1:00 bridges
CONDITIONING:
2 rounds
2:00 –
5 slow kettlebell deadlifts, 4#-12# (used a raised start position, bumper plates for those who lose position in the end range)
10 grasshoppers
10-meter bear crawl
2:00 –
Bar play, hanging, monkey swings, 360-degree turns
GAME:
Dodgeball using non-dominant hand
