WARM-UP:
Broad jump to the beat of the music
FOCUS:
Plank – Practice variations. Allow for one knee down as a progression for those who cannot maintain a flat spine. Work on alternating from elbows to hands.
GET READY:
1:00 bottom of the squat
1:00 bridges
CONDITIONING:
2:00 jumping any way
2:00 hollow hold progressions
2:00 hula hoop play
2:00 jumping any way
2:00 hollow hold progressions
GAME:
Using twice the number of cones as players, line up start cones 3 meters apart with one dodgeball on top. Add a second line of cones 5 meters away. One player is staged at each start cone. Players do one rep of a designated exercise and spin 360 degrees then race to move the dodgeball to the second cone. Difficulty, reps and spins can be added according to age.
