Focus: (Always double check with parents regarding any food allergies)
Nutritious Snacks – Almond Butter & “Jelly” Snackers
Core an apple and then slice the apple in rings. This is your bread. On one side of “bread” spread almond butter and the other side raisins, dried cranberries or any small fruit. Put the two apple rings together to create the sandwich.
Warm-Up:
Children sit in circle. Using large ball (if available a fitness ball, or a beach ball) They pass the ball back and forth without using hands. Be sure to have kids doing same movements together. i.e.; everybody use feet. or everybody use head.
WOD:
Max time 3-5 mins
Starting on one side of the room and moving across the room together
3 good squats
3 broad jumps
3 burpees
Repeat
GAME:
Dragon Tails
Similar to tag or capture the flag- Each child has a dragon tail (paper towels folded length ways works the best) lightly tucked into the back of their waistband. The person that is “it” has to grab someone’s tail. When the “it” child gets someone else’s tail, that child becomes “it.”
