A Brand X Method™ Kids Workout
WARM-UP:
Bottom of the Squat Dance Party – Each kid rotates as dancer in front of class for 30 seconds to a minute, and from the bottom of the squat creates his or her own routine that other kids are instructed to mirror.
FOCUS:
Throwing – practice with a dodgeball
1:00 – rotational throws to wall at 1-2 meters facing wall
1:00 – rotational throws to wall at 1-2 meters facing away from wall
1:00 – chest passes to partner
GET READY:
1:00 – downward dog
1:00 each side – knee hugs
CONDITIONING:
Bear crawl over the Wall – Create a dividing wall of jump boxes in a 10-meter x 10-meter space. Kids bear crawl to and jump up and over boxes to opposite side. This can be run in several ways, eg, w/6:00-8:00 running clock, w/10-second rests after last child gets to opposite side and repeat, or two laps every 2:00.
GAME:
Dodgeball w/6 walking lunges when hit by ball
