The Brand X Method Kids Workout – Explore/Express

PREPARE
25 jumping jacks
10 jumps for height, chalk mark hands and initial

GET READY:
1:00 each side Achilles stretch
1:00 each side couch stretch at the wall – back must stay as flat as possible; remind kids to apply “Strong Tree” and adjust foot placement from wall to accommodate differing ability to maintain a flat back as needed.

PRACTICE
MOVEMENT PRACTICE
Review Movement Skills “Waiting in the Outfield,” “Strong Tree,” and “Muscles On”
Practice hinge/bend – send hips back over a bench keeping knees over midfoot and back flat
Repeat holding a dodgeball or small kettlebell, 4kg-12kg, from raised position focus on hinge/bend practice while shortening ROM for consistency prior to full ROM

5 box squats
“Hillbilly prowler” – push box 10 meters and back 10 meters
5 kettlebell deadlifts, 4kg-12kg
