Play Tug of War
Divide the group into two relatively equal teams using size and strength as guides. Show kids how to grip the rope and explain that wrapping any body parts is disallowed. Upon go, in a test of strength: teams pull on opposite ends of a rope, with the goal being to bring the rope a certain distance in one direction against the force of the opposing team’s pull. Mark the rope with a flag in the center and use a cone as starting point. A team is declared winner when they pull the central flag past a predesignated point.

1 minute Happy Baby against the wall 1 minute BOS


Movement Practice
Review Movement SkillsTM Strong Tree and Waiting in the outfield, then practice Hinge and hinge to box squat, adjust box heights to back of knee crease for each individual Review KB DL using Hinge over Box, Review goblet squat at box. Practice 5 reps of each.


Work- Play 2x

For two minutes:
5 Goblet squats at Box ( 4kg-12kg Kb or 8-15# db) 5 Box Hurdles

For two minutes:
Hillbilly Box prowlers 10m up and back
*advanced kids can partner up to push with a partner on the box

Total 8 minutes

Create a race between two teams
Balance abmat on head using walks or lunges 10m to cone, bear crawl back
