A Brand X Method™ Kids Workout

WARM-UP:
Switch – Divide players into two groups and line kids up on opposite sides of a large play area. Create coned section as home base for each side. Kids will race to other side using the exercise called out by the trainer. First team to get all players into its home base gets a point. Play can continue until a certain number of points are attained or for a given time. Note: Use exercises that allow safe movement with the ball, eg, skipping, marching, side shuffling, hopping, lunging.

FOCUS:
DSDS – review w/emphasis on knees out
Inchworm – review (feet go all the way to hands before hands move and vice versa)

GET READY:
1:00 each side – triangle against the wall
25 PVC twists

CONDITIONING:
AMGMAP
Group A
5 DS (dip-squeeze only)
10-meter bear crawl => inchworm back
Group B
10 DSDS
10-meter bear crawl => inchworm back

GAME:
Safe While Moving – A traditional game of tag with trainer selecting the first player to be “It.” All other players run from “It” to avoid being tagged and can also do up to 3 DSDS w/small medicine ball at any cone. Players must leave the cone after 3 reps and carry medicine ball to next cone. Players may not be tagged while performing DSDS. Players may only be tagged between cones or if not moving at cone.
