A Brand X Method™ Kids Workout

WARM-UP:
3:00-5:00
Shuttle runs

FOCUS:
Drop portion of DSDS – define as a front squat and describe the position

GET READY:
1:00 – bottom of the squat
1:00 each side – runner’s stretches

CONDITIONING:
3-4 rounds
1:30 intervals
Jump rope
Medicine ball relay in a large circle, 4#-6# balls

GAME:
Three Cups – Hide a lacrosse ball beneath one of three overturned jump boxes or similar containers. Create two lines of players using cones about 3 meters from the boxes. Using a deck of playing cards, the trainer throws down a numbered card in between and in front of the two lines so that the first player in each line can perform that number of box jumps. The first kid to finish may guess at where the ball is hidden. A correct guess scores the team a point. Between rounds of correct guesses, players are asked to lay face down and turned away from the boxes with their eyes closed so the ball may be re-hidden.
