Keegan started CrossFitting when he was 10, ten years ago, and earned his Level One at age 13. As a CrossFit Kids trainer, Keegan has been handed the reins of the CrossFit Pre-teen Program at Brand X. As a young teen, Keegan taught many segments of the original CrossFit Kids Trainer Course and his experience led to him becoming a head instructor for the traveling CrossFit Kids Training Staff. Keegan is now a seasoned CrossFit HQ Trainer. His ability to teach Olympic weightlifting comes not only from having attended the CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting specialty seminar, but from his own diligent practice at the sport; he is the finest Olympic weightlifter at CrossFit Brand X.
He was a member of CrossFit Brand X’s first-place-winning team at the 2011 CrossFit Kids Teen Exhibition, the first ever CrossFit Kids competitive event, which took place at the 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games. Following that, he has focused on training for the Games and is currently a Life AsRX-sponsored CrossFit athlete. In addition to being an accomplished CrossFitter and Olympic weightlifter, Keegan holds National and California state powerlifting records through USA Powerlifting.
At the age of 19, Keegan qualified for and was a team competitor at the 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games Southern California Regionals. Competition where the CrossFit Brand X Team placed 15th overall.
He placed first out of all 20 year old males competing in Ramona California in the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games Open.
