A Brand X Method™ Kids Workout

WARM-UP:
Rock-up-get-ups – Begin on the ground with rounded back and knees tucked. Roll back and forth to gain momentum to get up. Cue kids to try not to leverage off the ground or their bodies
* Extra credit – Ask athletes to try to get up into blocked position.

FOCUS:
Carrying objects – shoulder positions; practice back and down
5 x 10-meter farmer’s carry, light dumbbells

GET READY:
1:00 each side – threaded shoulder on floor
1:00 each side – cross-body shoulder stretch

CONDITIONING:
AMGMAP in 8:00
10-20-meter cone “course” farmer’s carry
10 box jumps
10 push-ups
10 flutter kicks

GAME:
Hillbilly Ping Pong – * Use appropriate to age and skill. Progressions:
Simple catch with a ping pong ball
Bounce the ping pong ball onto a jump box between partners and catch
Paddles and a single bounce on a box in between partners
Box with a chalk dividing line
Four boxes for each quadrant of a traditional table
